Objectives
Specific objectives of the project are:
- Implementation of a highly usable web-based expert application, based on field tests and turf properties, able to assist maintenance managers to preserve the optimal properties of the product and extend its service life. This tool will be based on a previous prototype and will be completed integrating the knowledge held by IBV and ISA Sport.
- Adaptation of current laboratory separation techniquescurrently used by Poligras to be performed in situ by portable maintenance equipment. The development of the new system will be carried out by IBV and ISA Sport and validated by Acteco.
- Implementation of the waste revalue system. Rubber granulate supplier (Recipneu) and the waste manager (Acteco) will set the new flow for revaluing sub-products resulting from the in situ separation process. Revalue will consist of reuse (~90%) and recycling (~10%) of the generated waste.
- Pilot applicationof the new service to current and new clients of Poligras integrating all the actors involved (whole consortium). Service application will cover different types of surfaces at different stages of its service life and different geographic regions.
- Artificial turf lifecycle management model dissemination. Specific marketing and communication actions will be led by FCVRE in order to share and promote similar practices and/or replications. IPR management will guarantee the competitive advantage of the consortium members as well as permit its exploitation through licensing to other companies.
